The first release on Bughouse Records was a live recording from a true legend, one of rock's genuine wild men: Hasil Adkins. The Haze came to Chicago's Lounge Ax for two shows in November 1992 and Bughouse recorded the entire occasion on swell-quality eight track equipment. Every screech, mumble, and brilliant song was captured in all the ragged glory of the Haze's best performances. The tape even includes the heart-stopping moment when, in a frenzy, the Haze threw his guitar into the crowd and beaned a fan, sending him to the hospital for six stitches. Sadly, the Haze passed away in 2005 at age 67.

Tiny Tim! International recording star, television personality, master ukulele player, and film star finally took the plunge and agreed to record a live record with a band in 1993! And not just any band, but the only band brave enough to share the stage with a living legend who uses no set list and calls out songs after he's started them- The New Duncan Imperials. Back in 1993- soon after meeting the band outside a truck stop outside of Cedar Falls IA, Tiny came to Chicago to entertain his loyal fans and put it all on tape for Bughouse. Recorded live at Quicksilver (now Martyrs), the record captures Tiny Tim in all his glory and you will feel as if you were there witnessing this mesmerizing performance! Sadly Tiny Tim passed away in 1996.

Born in Mississippi in 1923 and rooted in Memphis TN, Cordell Jackson was a resounding example of rock and roll tenacity. Inspired by her father, Cordell was an accomplished instrumentalist, excelling at guitar, harmonica, upright bass, and piano. In 1947, she became the first female recording engineer and producer in the United States. After seven years of writing and recording demos of her material with her friend , Sam Phillips at the legendary Sun Studios, she established her own record label, Moon Records. In 1992, rock and roll's grandmother was inducted into the Smithsonian Institution, and in 1994, she was immortalized in the Hard Rock Cafe archives as a legendary guitarist. An icon of rockabilly and blues, she has appeared in the motion picture "Great Balls of Fire" and was featured in Budweiser commercials with Brian Setzer. She was a guest of David Letterman, Regis and Kathy Lee, and has been featured in Spin, Entertainment Tonight, MTV, and Bill board. In 1995, Bughouse Records brought her to Schubas Tavern in Chicago to capture her live performance and it was magical. No overdubs needed. This is Cordell's only full length record and live recording. Sadly Cordell passed away in 2004.
